Summer Hours:

Students: The ACC online computer lab will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am until 3:00pm. I will be available for assistance during these hours. Feel free to email me Comp I & II, British & American Lit. papers for review and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Announcements:

Summer registration by phone or online will end Wednesday May 21. You will need a completed ECS form signed by an ACC advisor @ Pinnacle or Fredericksburg campuses by then. This form enables you to be sheltered from the $485 course fee.

For sophmores who will be entering your junior year in the fall, you must pass the Asset or Compass test to be eligible for the early college start program.

Textbooks

If you choose to take a distance learning course, the cost of your course textbook will be covered by the district. Lecture course textbook costs will be paid by the student.

We do have multiple copies of textbooks for the following classes saved from previous semesters for your use: be sure to check your syllabus to see if they match with your exact course. You are welcome to them, see Ms. Reed for more information

Macroeconomics, British Lit, American Lit, Comp I & II, US Govt, US & Texas History

** New this academic year at all Texas state colleges and universities (for all courses): "A new law puts a brake on dropping classes at Texas state colleges and universities."
"Starting Fall 2007, students attending Texas public colleges can withdraw from no more than six courses during their undergraduate career. The withdrawal limit applies to first-time college students and follows them until they graduate. Current and returning students are not affected."

This is an amazing program and a wonderful opportunity for LBJ students to earn up to 36 hours of college credit by the end of their senior year. Distance learning does require self-discipline & self-motivation, but I am always here to help!
